Can Pakistan's Islamic holiday dates change?
Yes. The Cabinet Division's January notification uses estimated dates, and the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee's moon sighting sets the final ones — in 2026, Eid-ul-Fitr was revised to 20–21 March and Eid-ul-Azha to 26–28 May. Ashura (notified for 24–25 June) and Eid Milad-un-Nabi (25 August) are likewise subject to sighting.
